Meet Chef Ian, (Young Min) Lee, known as a quiet achiever and a chef who is intricately dedicated to his craft.

Ian has over 25 years’ experience working in numerous 5-star hotel restaurants and grew up in Korea. His passion lies in the diversification and evolution of food and prides himself on taking guests on a sensory experience.

He has been a chef for over 25 years, winning accolades not only through work but also personally. Ian has immense international food experience, mainly spending most of his time in Seoul and his achievements have been acknowledged within the international and Melbourne markets. Ian’s expertise expands to his time in Seoul and Melbourne, winning numerous accolades including the World Culinary Competition 2004, the Black Box Culinary Completion Gold Medal 2008 and Potential of People Award 2009.

At InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto, Ian has won Employee of the Year 2009 and Employee of the Year 2012.
