Welcome to Halls Gap, home to more than 160km of hiking trails and some of the most spectacular views in all of Australia.
While this time to travel is not right now, we can't help but dream about this magical location, roughly three hours from Melbourne and nestled between the ancient mountain ranges in the heart of the Grampians National Park. Along with spectacular views, hikers are rewarded with stunning hidden waterfalls dotted throughout and endless opportunities to see Australian animals in the wild.
Halls Gap is a cultural hub with its Aboriginal history dating back more than 420-million years. Ancient rock art visible throughout the region and tells the stories of the land’s first people.
In the winter months, the waterfalls are full and flowing with snow visible on mountain tops and the wildlife is inquisitive all year round. During a visit to Halls Gap, you’re likely to see countless species of birds, kangaroos, koala, emus and more.
